It’s great place to have Chinese food. I have tried several times. Beef and pepper is the great dish. Hope they get the alcohol permit soon.

Amazing dumplings from a short list, but who cares a wider variety really when they taste so good? Also the impossible (vegetarian) release of the pan fried ones was very yummy. Would have stacked up a higher pile of bamboo steamers but had to go. Service is super fast and friendly. Recommended.

As other reviews have noted, this place is inside Friedman's. Stopped by here for lunch today and really enjoyed the pork soup dumplings (fresh, tender, and hot, with a tasty filling). The General Tso chicken was also great, using 2 kinds of peppers (but not over-spiced). Friendly staff and attentive service!

We came in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered off of both menus from La Salle and Friedman’s. The vegetarian XLB was great!! I love soup dumplings and have been searching for a good vegetarian option. These were tasty.

Honestly, all that we got was delicious. My boyfriend and I ordered: beef and brocoli (both things were so good, tender and juicy!), dandan noodles (amazing as well), the chef’s special pork dumplings with the vinaigrette (W O W! If you like vinegar you will love this combo!) and the pork and kimchi baos (we loved them!). We also wanted to order fried rice but to be honest the food portions are good sized and the dumpling order brings 6. Would def recommend and come back!

Friedman's West and La Salle Dumpling have merged into one restaurant. The good news is that two people craving different cuisines can now dine together at the same place. However, the downside is that those unaware of La Salle Dumpling's presence inside Friedman's may find it nearly impossible to locate the restaurant. This unique establishment offers two completely distinct cuisines, prepared to perfection. In particular, the xiao long bao and Chinese-style noodles are exceptional. The brunch menu exceeds expectations, and both the coffee and iced tea are outstanding.

So happy this place is back! For context, before Friedman’s came in, this was La Salle Dumpling Room. Friedman’s was here for several years before asking La Salle to join them at the location. Now, you can have amazing dumplings plus anything you want at Friedman’s. Win, win! Soup dumplings are a must!
